Hello!

With the flood of news coming from the U.S. last week, my heart felt heavy. As someone who is half African American, I deeply feel for my family and for all People of Color. It was difficult for me to write this article, as finding the right words isn't easy. But I believe it's better to say something than to stay silent.

Racism is not just an issue in the U.S.; it's a global problem, including here in Switzerland. Even if we’re not always able to fight on the front lines, there are still many ways we can help.

Below, I’ve gathered links to anti-racism platforms you can support and media that can help you educate yourself. I’ve also included links to creative PoC from around the world whose work I personally find beautiful.

Hallo!

Durch die Flut an Nachrichten, die letzte Woche von den USA ausging, fühlte sich mein Herz schwer an. Als halbe Afroamerikanerin fühle ich mit meiner Familie und allen PoC (Person of Color). Es war schwer für mich diesen Artikel zu schreiben, da es schwierig ist, die richtigen Worte zu finden. Aber ich denke es ist besser etwas zu sagen, als still zu sein. Rassismus ist nicht nur in den USA ein Thema, sondern weltweit und auch in der Schweiz. Obwohl man nicht immer an vorderster Front dagegen ankämpfen kann, gibt es verschiedene Möglichkeiten zu helfen.

Hier stelle ich Dir Links zu Plattformen gegen Rassismus zusammen, die du unterstützen kannst und Medien, um dich weiter zu bilden. Dazu habe ich kreative PoC aus der ganzen Welt verlinkt, deren Werke ich persönlich wunderschön finde.
