Breath
This stop-motion is a piece exploring the quiet rhythm of expansion and contraction.
Claymation is a term I just recently come to know. I like the polished feel, but also the character it gives your animated objects. If you look closely you can even see my fingerprints.
I chose claymation for this piece because I like the flexibility of it, which resembles the breath perfectly. Also, there is something oddly funny about clay, maybe because it reminds me of my childhood. :-)

Sacagawea
An experimental mixed-media animation inspired by Sacagawea, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and belonging.
Exploring different media has opened up new possibilities for storytelling in my work. For this piece, I photographed three different backgrounds, looped them digitally, and hand-painted each frame to give the animation a more tactile, handcrafted feel.
Just as Sacagawea was an explorer from the Shoshone people, I see this piece as a reflection on discovering new worlds.
